Peaceworld

Peaceworld

An up-and-coming Philadelphia rapper, Mic Stewart has been hustling his rhymes for years now. In 2012 he won Red Bull's "EmSee Competition" (judged by David Banner, DJ Premier, and Big K.R.I.T.). Down with the GuerillaFunk family, he's released several small-run digi-albums, including Time 2 Rhyme, The Equilibrium Remastered, and RoadToAtlanta Soundtrack. Peaceworld is his first official album and features his highly lyrical style set to strong production from the likes of SAMlive, B Free, DJ Sophic, and Rob Fruchtman. Sounding somewhat reminiscent of a young Jay-Z, he's got a swift-tongued, densely layered rhyme style with vivid verses mostly concerned about real-life issues and his love for hip-hop. Fellow Philly artists Chill Moody and Selina Carrera also appear, but Mic's the true star of the show here. Check out "I'm Not from Brooklyn," "War Cry," and "Let It Bump."
