iTunes Editors’ Notes

After a lengthy sabbatical from the studio, Christian singer/songwriter Lincoln Brewster returns with an album filled with reverently-conceived and vigorously-performed worship tunes. As before, the Sacramento-based artist anchors his music in his muscular yet nuanced guitar work. In tracks like “Everywhere I Go,” “God You Rein” and the title tune, he lays down galvanizing lead lines while offering hosannas to his Savior. There’s a certain ‘80s sensibility found here, noticeable in the Mr. Mister-like synth textures of “God You Reign” and the Dire Straits-esque sultriness of “The Power of Your Name.” Brewster displays an affinity for traditional gospel on “Give Him Praise,” an exuberant number featuring fellow worship artist Israel Houghton. Subdued acoustic pieces (“The Love of God”) and swaggering rockers (“Let Your Glory Shine”) set the album’s sonic perimeters. Within these confines, Brewster fills his testimony with a palpable sense of gratitude and joy. There's no denying Brewster’s unstoppable faith or his unflagging musical prowess.

Great Song Writer, Performer, Worship Leader, Guitar Player! Another must own!

This is one of the most talented musicians to write, sing & play LEAD guitar so well at the same time! He is definitely in the very center of God's Will doing exactly what He has called him to do in this dying world we live in.

WOW!!!!

Amazing guitarist + A sold-out heart for God= one unbelievably great CD. This is a must buy. The lyrics are honest and the guitar playing is solid. All I can say is WOW!

Lincoln's Best to Date!

I've been a fan of Linc for many years... I've always been impressed with his guitar playing, his arrangements, and his songwriting. "Today is the Day" in my opinion, is his best project to date. This recording offers a wide variety of styles and influences... it is clear to see that Lincoln enjoys quite a bit of genres... rock, blues, pop, funk/gospel... Not only are the songs and styles top rate, the production is amazing. The guitar tone that he gets is gorgeous. My favorite tune on this recording is "The Power of Your Name" - co-written with Mia Fieldes (from Hillsong); this song is a beautiful duet with Darlene Zschech and speaks about justice, and our role as God's children to serve others through the power of God's name. I also really like "God You Reign," "This Love," and "Let Your Glory Shine." There is not a song on this recording that I skip over when enjoying it in my truck... Add it to your iTunes collection today!!
