Album Review

Before she gained fame as a solo star, Anita Baker was the lead singer of Chapter 8. Their self-titled album was the most popular, spawning four hit singles, including "I Just Wanna Be Your Girl."

Michael Powell,Anita Baker before her solo success

Don't know how long this has been on iTunes but this has been in my lp,cassette, and cd collection and it is on my iPod.This came out during my high school years, and Anita Baker and the boys were killing it.this has been in the rotation in my life since I first heard it.I was talking with my son's band teacher about favorite artist when,he mentioned Anita and I shed some light on him about Chapter 8,whom he'd never heard about.Thought i'd see if it was here so he could download or maybe i'll just burn him a copy, but this is quality listening music.Itunes i see you guys don't have a review of this great album,i could write one for you….Peace

Great Album!!

This is an album made before Anita Baker's solo success. She was the lead vocalist for this album and even then, her voice was dynamic and set apart from the rest. History would be evolving right here, as she later collaborated with Michael J. Powell(a member of the group also at time) on the timeless album "Rapture" This is a must have for Anita Baker fans and good music in general.
