Editors’ Notes

Primarily the work of San Francisco singer/songwriter and producer Jason Quever, Papercuts take a different approach for 2014’s Life Among the Savages. Where their career masterwork to date—2011’s Fading Parade—featured densely arranged orchestral pop, Savages opts for a streamlined approach, pushing Quever’s vocals up in the mix and forcing each instrument to work harder at covering its ground.
