Album Review

If Ricky Skaggs' latter-day albums lack the surprise and excitement of his early records, his sheer skill and musicianship nevertheless ensure that the albums are rarely boring. Life Is a Journey is a textbook example of this. There's nothing new here, to be sure, but Skaggs performs with grace and good humor that gives the music an extra, endearing kick. It may suffer from some ill-chosen material, and it may be a little spotty, yet Life Is a Journey remains another solid addition to Skaggs' catalog.

Good music. Love "selfishness of man."

Some good classic music from Ricky. I absolutely love the message behind the song "the selfishness of man." He nails that song.
