Worth a second spin..

I bought this album from Not Lame back in the late 90's and didn't like it much apart from the great 'Just in Time' (which is the best song Paul McCartney never wrote). However after all these years, I decided to give a second spin. It's better than I remembered it to be. It's no masterpiece, and it certainly is nowhere as great as their first album. It has it's moments, more specifically, the aforementioned 'Just In Time'. Plus the singer of the band (forgot his name at the moment) is painfully underated. To those like myself who are familiar with Off Broadway they have provided us with some fantastic party music over the years including 1997,s Fallin In. Although not as strong as their debut On, Fallin in is a solid comeback we had been waiting for. Standouts include the songs Fallin In, Just In Time,Time Wounds All Heels and Stop, Look And Listen. The production is tight and a sonic pleasure. The vocals of Mr. Cliff Johnson have always been a favorite. This band rocks. Do your collection a favor and add some Off Broadway.

In this case O'Neal was Cheap Trick and Off Broadway was doomed to obscurity. Much like Cheap Trick, Off Broadway played a quirky hopped-up blend of Beatlesque melodies and Move-like power. They didn't rock quite as hard and vocalist Cliff Johnson had nowhere near the style and range that Robin Zander did (then again, how many vocalists do?), but they wrote...
