Ms. Kelly is Stepping Out and Stepping Up with this new album...

To many, it seemed that Destiny's Child alum and Beyonce "cheerleader," Kelly Rowland was content to be #2 in line, and after one mildly successful attempt at a solo career, many would suggest that that was Kelly's lot in life. However, with this new album, Kelly, oops I mean, MS. Kelly, is showing fans and critics alike that she is more than a pretty back-up singer and that her depth goes beyond what the public usually sees. On this album she covers all of her bases and she does so effortlessly and wonderfully, transcending easily from club bangers such as "Work" and "Comeback," to emotional ballads such as "Still In Love With My Ex" and "Love." Although I am usually bored by slower songs on albums, I must admit, that I did not find one boring moment in any of MS. Kelly's ballads and I really enjoyed this album through and through. So while we may have thought Kelly was happy playing second fiddle to Beyonce, it is now apparent that she was waiting in the wings with pen and pad, jotting down notes and plotting her next moves, which culminated in a cohesive and enjoyable sophomore effort. U Go Gurl!

I Can Say That I'm No Longer...

...Comparing Beyonce & Kelly, Kelly Has Shown Herself On This Album As Being Able To Hold Herself In A Solo Career, & It's Really Good. "Like This" - 4/5 - Good First Single, Other Greater Songs On Here But Still Good. "Comeback" - 4 1/2./5 - I Like How She Raps/Sings At The Same Time. "Ghetto" - 4/5 - Her Vocals Are Soft On This One, The Lyrics Are Great Too. "Work" - 4/5 - It's Like A Dancing Salsa Song, It's Very Upbeat & Quick. "Flashback" - 5/5 - My Favorite Song Off The Album, I Just Love The Lyrics & The Beat Is Really Tight, & Her Vocals Calm It Down. "Every Thought Is You" - 4 1/2./5 - Really Pretty Ballad, You Can Tell She's Trying Her Best To Sing It, & She Pulls It Off. "The Show" - 4/5 - Not Bad, Tank Is Also Featured On This One, A Nice Duet Between The Two. "Interlude" - N/A - Just An Interlude, Not Too Much. "Still In Love With My Ex" - 5/5 - My Favorite Ballad, Her Vocals Exceed Limits. "Love" - 5/5 - Kelly Put It All Out On This Track, I'm Very Impressed With This Song. "Better Without You" - 3 1/2./5 - A Tad Bit Boring, & When She She Says "WithoutCH" It Got Annoying. "This Is Love" - 4 1/2./5 - A Beautiful Strings Song, Kelly Is Definitly Suprising Me. "Like This (Azza's Nu Soul Remix)" - 3/5 - I Think She Should Have Chosen Someone To Remix "Like This", Azza Didn't Pull It Off Too Well. "Like This (Music Video)" - 3 1/2./5 - It Has A Lot Of Sex Appeal & Shows Like A Party With Hidden Cameras. Best Tracks: Like This Comeback Ghetto Work Flashback Every Thought Is You The Show Still In Love With My Ex Love This Is Love
