Editors’ Notes

Best known for his work with Brownsville trouble starters M.O.P., Lil' Fame (a.k.a. Fizzy Womack) has been serving up high-octane street stories since the early '90s, first making waves with the breakout single "How About Some Hardcore" back in '94. Termanology is the pride of Lawrence, Mass., and has built a strong following thanks to his smooth delivery and Pun-influenced lyricism, releasing a ton of material independently and working extensively with Statik Selektah, among others. On this excellent collabo project, they pair so well that you'd think they've been down for decades. Fame's over-the-top aggressiveness is a perfect counterpart to Term's laid-back intellectual-thug swagger, and the sample-saturated production (from Fizzy, Statik, Alchemist, and DJ Premier) suits both emcees like a custom wardrobe of Carhartt coats and bulletproof vests. Check out "Hustler's Ringtone" (with Bun B), "It's Easy," "Crazy" (with M.O.P.), and the bass-heavy banger "Too Tough for T.V."

Real rap

I just sampled 2 Chains' load of poopoo and then I had a look at this. Goddamn. This is real rap, kids. I dig the piano usage. Just buy it right now.
