Lovely Performance

I was also looking for the Elfen Lied version of this song, and was initially disappointed not finding it. However, this is an excellent performance by Ms. Owen, and I am happy it is a part of my collection. I have since found the Elfen Lied version, and enjoy listening to the orchestra behind the voice of that piece. However, there is a distinct difference in vocal execution between Kumiko Noma's (Elfen LIed) and Ms. Owen's performances. Ms. Owen's clear diction and tone do justice to this lovely aria from Hugo Wolf. In my opinion, Ms. Owen's pronunciation and tone are much more enjoyable, and I feel I can absorb the words better. The poetry isn't hidden behind the music. However, the simple piano accompaniment in Ms. Owen's performance, although beautiful, is too simple for me. In other words, I find myself wanting MORE. The only reason I cannot give it 5 stars is due to the fact that I cannot help wishing there was an orchestra behind Ms. Owen's voice. I want that professional exactness she brings supported by an orchestral composition.

._.

When I previewed Lilium, I thought it was just ok ._. I think Kumiko Noma sings Lilium better in the opening of Elfen Lied. I wish they had Kumiko on itunes because if they did I would definitely buy her version of Lilium.

...

Nadia Carolina Castillo had a better singing of Lilium. Heck, this woman can't even speak Latin right or even get the tempo of the song! She's not TERRIBLE but not good in the least.
