Wondrous Words

olddogg

Her lyrics are amazing. The song "Surrogate" perfectly captures the love that exists between sisters. I always tear up a bit at the parts where she acknowledges her sister's unselfish efforts to protect her. Then there's "I Am Not a Boy" a song they exposes the anguish that's unleashed when your parent's don't accept you for who you are. I can't listen to "Deep, Dark, Down" the story of Lindsay's love for her mother and her extremely deep sorrow over the unresolved issues that plagued their relationship is too sad for me to bear. Mainly, because it perfectly captures the heart rending sense of loss of time, the time you could have tried harder, or done things differently.
Listen to this album and you will find that Lindsay is the external echoof all those untethered thoughts that drift about aimlessly in your inner being; thoughts that crush into other other thoughts, thoughts that paralyze you untilyou realize that they are your connection to everybody else in the world.

Captivating

I wish I had half the talent Lindsay has! This CD will definitely tug at your heartstrings! The feeling she brings forth in each song, makes you want to reach in and give her a great, big hug lol!
