Strat Heaven

The 70’s brought us some of the best rock ever. Boston’s first. “Rocks” by Aerosmith. “Physical Graffiti” and the fourth self-titled by Led Zeppelin. And most definitely right in the mix is “Bridge of Sighs” from Trower. In my opinion the best rock album featuring a Fender Strat. From top to bottom it does not fail. Terrific writing, playing, vocals and production. And Trower’s tone was and still is impressive. Yes, I know Clapton had turned to the Strat in the 70’s, but he didn’t match “Bridge of Sighs” despite great releases.

Pure bliss.

Listen to the entire album from beginning to end.
Not one song here, one song there. The genius is in the entire album.

Bridge of Sighs

Hadn’t heard this guy in forty years. Sounds better now because there isn’t any competition. The vocalist is a doppelgänger
For Paul Rogers.
