Another winner

The newest release from Mr. Altergott is a bit more introspective than "Runt" and more personal than "Icarus Grounded." However, it is not to be deemed as different from his previous offerings. Instead, he gives us a bit more insight into his personality and shows us just how much he cares. In a vast sea of music currently that seems to focus on the superficial, it's nice to delve into the soul of someone who puts his all into his music. It's all acoustic, but it's not all somber and sappy. There's fun to be found on the album, as evidenced by "Kickstand," a Jack Johnson-like tune (which is not a bad thing, mind you). You can't help but tap your foot and sing along with it. But yes, there are the softer tunes. "Brothers Beautiful", "Thank You", and the very proud "Everyday is a Reason" are more than enough reason to purchase the album. His incredible rendition of "Over the Rainbow" makes it all the more worthwhile. And revisiting an old friend, "Breakneck Speed", first found on "Icarus Grounded", makes a reappearance here in acoustic form. All in all, Altergott isn't deviating from his path; he's just stopping to smell the roses.

Good Stuff
