A Must Have

One of the greatest albums of all time.

Missing artwork?

Does the digital download not come with a booklet/liner notes? If so, I'm really disappointed, as I'd expect a remastered release like this to include some good stuff.

I'm a huge Tori Amos fan, and I love this album as well as all the B-sides, and have owned almost all of them for many years--"Humpty Dumpty" being an exception. Because I already had all the music, I was a little skeptical about paying for them again, but the remastered audio truly does make subtle, but sometimes very significant, improvements in the sound quality. Tori's voice has greater resonance and depth, and there are a few instances in which little nuances like small, previously imperceptible breaths she takes add to the already-emptional quality of the songs. The instrumentation also sounds richer. Despite the apparent lack of album artwork, this is a five-star album.

Tori's best

I love Tori, but I believe her best music was her first four LPs. Here's to hoping Boys for Pele and Choirgirl Hotel get similar treatment in the near future.

(Her cover of Smells Like Teen Spirit is a highlight here!)

In addition, she revived the singer/songwriter traditions of the '70s while re-establishing the piano as a rock & roll instrument. With her 1992 album Little Earthquakes, Amos built a dedicated following...
