Great LHR Sound!

Everyone was at their best on Ross' first solo album. In fact, it hardly seems solo; it also hardly seems complete. "I've Grown Accustomed to Your Face", "Give Me the Simple Life" and "This Lady's In Love With You", which are highy touted on the re-issue, are missing. It's still a great album but be aware it's really a partial. Therefore, I guess the 'review' is, "What they said" plus "Gee, I'd like to hear the other three tunes!"

They still got it!!

Just saw Mr. Hendricks and Ms. Ross at the Blue Note in NY City, it was his 90th birthday celebration. Awesome, legendary musicians!! They still love their music and so do I!

Swings like crazy!

My dad has this record and the cover caught my eye when I was about 13 yrs old. Still love that cover! This is the swinginest of all their albums but of course it's all Basie arrangements so what would you expect. What genius! Voices doing Basie note for note. Still one of my all time favorite records ever.

Born Annabelle Lynch in Surrey, England, she moved to Los Angeles at the age of three, with...
