Little Red Box

This is the debut album of singer, songwriter D. Edward. Although no newcomer to the music scene, he also plays percussion with 70's funk group Con Funk Shun and has been in groups with the likes of Genevieve Goings of Disney Channel's Choo Choo Soul, Terry Bradford, who was Celine Dion's duet singer, World class producer Joel Jaffe, Grammy nominated producer PC Muñoz, among others.
Keep Loving You features Stevie Wonder's keyboardist, Victoria Theodore and on There She Goes and The Passage, Con Funk Shun's Ron Moton plays some very tasty Sax solos. Paul Hunt on Guitar, Amy Nix plays the piano solo on The Passage, Brian Abbott and Keni Williams bring up the bottom on Bass, Omega Rae, who has worked with Goapele and Martin Luther, sings backing vocals on It Must Be Love and vocalist Tamara Green and drummer Kevin Williams join in on Homeward Bound.
The song There She Goes is dedicated to the Women Air Force Service Pilots of WWII. They were the 1st women to fly for the US Air Force. In 2009, they were honored with a US Congressional Gold Medal.
I think you'll love this album once you hear it!

"Truly" Worth Hearing

Soulful sounds from one of Oakland's own. Don't miss the standout "Truly," and catch him live if you're in the area!

"Truly a Gem"

Just love…love this cd. D. Edwards did an incredible and amazing job on vocals which I believe is the first time ever on any of his past recordings. The Little Red Box definitely shows D. Edward’s amazing talent and “versatility” as a songwritier, music producer and as a percussionist musician. I must also note and credit his talented band and female vocalists accompanied on this cd. The tracks are soulful, funky, meditative and a flare of smooth latin jazz and rock - all tied up in this awesome cd! I had the opportunity to catch D. Edwards & Co. live at one of their shows in San Francisco and they “ROCK”! The “Little Red Box” cd is definitely worth checking out and listening to!
