Fantastic album -- but same record as King Biscuit In Concert

This is one of the greatest live rock albums ever recorded, even better than the Pie's fine Rockin' the Fillmore double album. Clem Clemson proves to be the equal of the by-now departed Peter Frampton, on guitar anyway. Steve Marriott is at his raving best throughout -- his blues-shout intros to several of the songs alone are worth the price of admission. Steve was the finest white, R&B/Rock singer of all time, and a dynamic rock showman on stage. Glad to see him (via the Small Faces) getting some credit on the cover of current (as I write this, 7/2/11) issue of Uncut magazine. This appears to be the exact same album as the one issued as part of the King Biscuit Flower Hour Presents seriers, under title "Humble Pie In Concert" (issued on CD in 1995). If you want more Pie, the best way to get the best of the band is on the double CD: "Hot 'N' Nasty: The Anthology," which I see is available on download from ITunes. But the double CD is a very nice package if you can find it, with a very nice booklet and great photos of the band. But if you only buy on Pie album, I would recommend this above all others (and I'm not even an especially big fan of live albums). Get this live album and the Anthology, and you will basically have all the Pie you need, as their albums tended to be hit and miss affairs.

Incredible but Beware!

Always great to hear live Pie again and this is no exception. Only problem is, it's not new - just another reissue of the King Biscuit album from the mid 90's. If you already own it, don't bother with this one.

All i'm gonna say is WOW!!!

A showcase for former Small Faces' frontman Steve Marriott and one-time Herd guitar virtuoso Peter Frampton, the hard rock outfit Humble Pie formed in Essex, England in 1969. Also featuring ex-Spooky Tooth bassist Greg Ridley along with drummer Jerry Shirley, the fledgling group spent the first several months of its existence locked away in Marriott's Essex cottage, maintaining a relentless practice schedule. Signed to the Immediate label, Humble Pie soon issued their debut single "Natural Born Boogie,"...
