iTunes Review

Live at the Music Hall is the result of Phosphorescent’s four-night stand at the Music Hall in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, in December 2013. The seven-piece band were wrapping up a year of supporting their Muchacho album. Like most road-worn groups, they’d seen the material grow as the nights piled up. In the tradition of double-live albums from the ‘70s, Music Hall is a three-album set that encompasses all four of the band’s studio albums, highlighting the ragged-but-right vocals of leader-songwriter Matthew Houck and the atmospheric brilliance of pedal steel guitarist Ricky Ray Jackson.
