iTunes Review

Captured live onstage at a variety of dates between 1990 and 1991, AC/DC Live finds the band in ferocious, well-honed form. With good reason. The Razor's Edge contained some of their tightest songs in years, most notably "Thunderstruck." The boys had been out headlining the Monsters of Rock tour (ahead of Metallica and Mötley Crüe) and proving just how necessary it was to create unfettered, muscular rock 'n' roll. This recording captures the energy, excitement and overall insanity that was whipping through arenas around the world as the band tears into "Hells Bells," "Shoot to Thrill," and an extended "For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)." This Collector's Edition adds an entire album's worth of extra songs recorded during 1990 and 1991, including versions of Bon-Scott-era epics "Jailbreak," "High Voltage" and "Let There Be Rock."

The first live album I ever bought and it is AMAZING!

AC/DC Live

Very nice to have AC/DC on iTunes! This is a great high energy album. Must have in your collection!

Next you need to get the greatest metal band in history, Ozzy era Black Sabbath to complete and fully legitimize your store. As far as an album review: it's a pretty good live album. The collectors set adds a lot more songs for a little more money but I think it's worth it. Of course if you want the greatest live AC/DC album you have to get 'If You Want Blood You've Got It'. It completely smokes anything else they've done, studio or live.

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '70s, '80s, '90s, '00s, '10s

AC/DC's mammoth power chord roar became one of the most influential hard rock sounds of the '70s, and is now one of the defining sounds of rock and metal. In its own way, it was a reaction against the pompous art rock and lumbering arena rock of the early '70s. AC/DC's rock was minimalist -- no matter how huge and bludgeoning their guitar chords were, there was a clear sense of space and restraint. Combined with Bon Scott's larynx-shredding vocals, the band spawned countless imitators over the next...
