Get This Album! Blessed Bob!

As a HUGE Bob follower it's easy to say this is a great show but the truth is the word! When I use to collect Dead bootlegs years ago this concert was passed around and of course I scooped it up like any fan would but it was an audience show that sounded like an amazing concert to be at but the clarity was poor and you were just happy to own it. Well, Jah has blessed us with the perfect clarity! You hear every word, note, and positive vibration like the way it should sound!! This reminds you of Bob's greatness as a singer and musician as well as perhaps the dream concert you would see today! Hats off to those who re-mixed it and I just cannot keep saying how perfect this album is and will forever cherish it! The best money I have spent considering I own a copy already! Bob will live forever and continue to bless i daily, Jah Bless Bob!

Lucky to be there

Not to bored with the details but due to a cool college Lit and film professor-Dr D who was married to a Jamican woman and who turned us on to 45s of reggae groups he brought back from the island-I was a Marley convert in the late 70s-Going to small college in the area-we scored tickets to the Stanley show-I still have the ticket stub-dated 9/23/1980 and attended this great concert. Even the I-Threes were good.
Little did I realize that Marley was ill nor did I know that this was his last show. Remember hearing that he collasped not too long after this show and you know the rest of the story. Have to buy, but it is the passion and soul and that drives this music as well as the need to own.

Sound quality problems - great artwork by Wonder Knack

The first songs sound good, but the last 2 ones of Bob's sets sound like cheap audience takes: Work. Get Up Stand up
Also, why put the opening act's songs AT THE END of the playlist? I know they want to push Bob, but it is ridiculous... Maybe it's because they sound so-so... All in all, this release is for hardcore Marley fans only, but even those probably have the bootleg in all its incarnations, from cassette to vinyl to CD to MP3!

Special mention to the artwork done by the great WONDER KNACK!!!

Years Active: '60s, '70s, '80s

Reggae's most transcendent and iconic figure, Bob Marley was the first Jamaican artist to achieve international superstardom, in the process introducing the music of his native island nation to the far-flung corners of the globe. Marley's music gave voice to the day-to-day struggles of the Jamaican experience, vividly capturing not only the plight of the country's impoverished and oppressed but also the devout spirituality that remains their source of strength. His songs of faith, devotion, and revolution...
