Best Concert of My Life

This recording was a masterpiece performance in Saint Paul, Minnesota on December 19, 2012, at The Fitzgerald Theater (where "A Prairie Home Companion" is/was broadbcast), and I was there. The band was in top form, playing tight and clearly enjoying themselves. Brinsley Schwarz and Martin Belmont traded licks and alternated on lead guitar. Stephen Goulding and Andrew Bodnar layed down the rhythm with precision. Bob Andrews keyboards danced among them, in and out and back and around. Every song was a gem, with most of "Squeezing Out Sparks" being played. Graham told stories and anecdotes, advising us that this was their last concert of the "Three Chords Good Tour" and that following this show, they were all going home to England for Christmas. The band must have thought the perfomance was special, too, because they released it on their own, putting it on iTunes for the world to hear and it is awesome, recorded and mixed expertly. If you are a fan, you must have it. If you don't know this band, no better introduction can be heard.
