pure country

There's no other way to descride this album, except, COUNTRY! None of the bull$hit you hear on the radio. Simply, country, the way it should be.

finally some real country music for 2012

Can't wait until the album is released. J. Johnson is one of the few artists that I will faithfully purchase every album from, he delivers quality material every time. He's an incredible writer and story teller with vocals that stand out from the rest. It's good to see an artist cranking out good music instead of trying to
convice me "how country he is" I hope he starts touring more in CA.

This is how it's done!

Jamey Johnson is the real deal. I'm only able to listen to the previews of this album and I already know it is amazing. Those other artists that call themselves country are not country, with the exception of a few. Jamey is country. I have nothing against those other artists, and many sing some good songs, but they aren't Jamey and don't have his passion for the old sound. This is what country is supposed to be. Country music can change somewhat, but other artists today who are in the mainstream seem to change it too much and it is worth arguing that they aren't country anymore. Jamey Johnson is real, his music is real, and I will always spend my money to hear his music. Whether it be a recording or a live performance he delivers. This album delivers, even if it is just the previews I just heard while writing this review.

The Alabama native and former Marine rose to the top of the Nashville food chain through blood, sweat, and tears. Being raised in a devout and deeply musical family helped the new traditionalist find his voice, but it wasn't until he moved to Music City that the world began to take notice. After laying low...
