Album Review

The first full-fledged L&M album found the duo in good form as songwriters, with Messina turning in the sparkling "Thinking Of You," and the two collaborating on the hit single "Your Mama Don't Dance" and "Angry Eyes." Their backup band was anchored by multi-instrumentalist Al Garth, and also featured keyboardist Michael Omartian and Poco steel guitarist Rusty Young.

iTUNES WATCH UP !!! Loggins AND Messina

This is a classic Loggins AND Messina album. Why is this listed as Kenny Loggins? He never could have made this without Messina. Well worth the price of admission - music deep in structure, form, melody, harmony, and arrangement. Hard press to find that in pop music in 2008 ... But it's Loggins AND Messina iTunes.

The Greatest Unknown Duo of the 70's

This album is the quinessential of rock/county/jazz all in one. Golden Ribbons(anti war song-Vietnam) will give you chills. Angry eyes(break-up) has the best soulful sax solo,Till the Ends Meet(romance) Loggins voice is the best ever. If I had one album of theirs I pick this followed by Sittin'-In.I've given this cd as gifts to various friends who never really knew L&M but are fans now 30 years later.Your Mama Don"t Dance might be the worst song of the bunch here. Buying this Loggins & Messina album and Sittin' In might be the best $20.00 ever spent on music.

Loggins and Messina (Angry Eyes)

This album takes me back!! This is a 70s MASTERPIECE!! This is one of those albums that if your grandchildren ask you about the "Good ol' Days? .... You'd throw this one on!! This album is tender ... it rocks, has GREAT harmony and guitar work. THERE IS NOTHING MEDIOCRE about this one! The term is used a lot ... but this album is truly a CLASSIC!!!!

Singer, songwriter, and guitarist Kenny Loggins has enjoyed more than three decades of success in the music business, as a songwriter and performer, mostly in a soft rock vein. He was born Kenneth Clarke Loggins in Everett, WA in early 1948, and the family later moved to Detroit, and finally to Alhambra, CA when he was in his teens. He initially turned to music as a way of compensating for his extreme shyness, and found that he was, indeed, a talented guitarist and had a voice. For a time in the...
