Customer Reviews

a great surprise, but...

After seeing videos of these guys online I decided to give this album a shot, which was both a great surprise and a slight disappointment. The band uses 11 string and quartertone guitars for several songs, giving riffs a twisting, nauseating and heavy-as-hell sound, especially on Logocide, Identical Abuse, and the two False Memory Syndrome tracks (2.1 especially is a standout, incorporating creepy atmospheres and the heaviest riff on the album). Other tracks like Loveless don't quite have the same intensity or identity, and bog the listening experience down. Overall the whole album feels like it's torn in two, with a third of the songs embracing an experimental, let's-try-something-a-little-different vibe, and the other two thirds going for a more mainstream, Static-X type approach. Definitely recommended, but I suggest cherry-picking the tracks for maximum headbanging.

The new transport League

Good and beefy, Crafty and Brutal....I see a mesh of the Transport League, American Head Charge, Static-X and Droid.....Good stuff worth every penny crosses every spectrum in music
