16 Songs, 1 Hour 5 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

Incorporating blues harmonica in the spaghetti western opener “Let’s Shake Some Dust” and banjo in the gunfighting history lesson “Doc Holliday,” these Danish rockers strike a daring balance between the Wild West and modern metal on their 2013 album. They even recruit ex-Anthrax axeman Rob Caggiano to thrash through “The Hangman’s Body Count” and “Black Bart.” Imagine Danzig on a Johnny Cash bender—but with King Diamond drowning “Room 24” in Black Sabbath doom, plus a frat-rocking cover of Young the Giant’s “My Body” just for kicks.

Saw them live 2013

If Lola Montez, The Hangman's Body Count, and Dead But Rising are any indicatation this album will not disappoint. I saw them live in Reno and these new songs were some of the heaviest they have done to date. Best band to come along in some time, I saw them open for Metallica in 2009 and have been a big fan since.

Still the same Volbeat. Perfect.

People that give this a negative reveiw obviously dont know Volbeat. Volbeat is famous for their very many sounds they do and they dont have that soft of songs until this cd. Now we get to hear Volbeat pour their heart and soul into a few slow songs and its so fricken epic. Its a very western album, LIKE THEY SAID IT WOULD BE! So everyone that is bashing Volbeat saying they lost their sound must not listen close enough to their music because I can hear a mix of every cd they've came out with. I would buy this cd again. Flawless.

Rob from Anthrax = HEAVY

I don't know what this guy is talking about. 7 out of 10? New song too soft for Volbeat? Have you heard the song Heaven nor Hell? That wasn't heavy and it is a great song. When Rob from Anthrax produces and plays on this album it will be HEAVY! I have heard the other songs and they rip it up. This is a Metal album all the way. Can't wait for 4/9.
