Great movie, great score

Don't listen to critics. This movie was fantastic and Hans Zimmer's score is a perfect complement to the film. Can't wait to see it again!! High ho, Silver!

Finale

The finale is one of the greatest songs ever written, aka, The William Tell Overture. Brings back childhood memories watching the old black 'n white.

Excellent score by Hans Zimmer!

"The Lone Ranger" is a great score; a bit different than I expected it to be - but in a good way.

I am very familiar with Hans Zimmer's style and have a lot of the soundtracks he has written over a good range of years in my collection. Having seen the previews for "The Lone Ranger" I expected Mr. Zimmer's usual aggressive and bombastic style to be the majority of what I would find here; I also expected somewhat of a stereotypical "western" flavor to be in the score, and there is, but it matches the film's environment, so there are no problems there.

Sure enough, there are plenty of good, aggressive, rousing-action moments in "The Lone Ranger" score...what I was not expecting were the excellently-composed tender moments that arose at various places.

This soundtrack is very solid and takes you all over the emotional spectrum; the action writing is very well done, as is typical in Hans Zimmer's work, but the sweeping lyrical moments are going to become my favorite aspects of this score.

I enjoyed the score to "The Lone Ranger" overall more than the recent "Man of Steel" score, also done by Hans Zimmer; overall "The Lone Ranger" is a stronger musical experience, though I did enjoy the "Man of Steel" score also. A number of the tracks in "The Lone Ranger" really engage you emotionally, as good music should.

I'm looking forward to seeing how "The Lone Ranger" film turns out overall. Having listened through the soundtrack without the benefit of the accompanying scenes for which the music was written, I expect the listening experience will only grow sweeter and richer as I can match the visual aspects of the film with the aural aspects of the score.

Well done, once again, Mr. Zimmer!
