15 Songs, 1 Hour 4 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

The centerpiece for any Billy Squier collection has to be 1981’s “The Stroke,” a monster of a song that features a boot-crunching beat, pummeling power chords, and vocals both wailed and chanted. There’s plenty more where that came from: Check out the finger-snapping rhythm and slippery ’80s synths of “Rock Me Tonite,” or the funky stuttered bassline that drives “Emotions in Motion,” punctuated with shards of squealing guitar and Squier putting on the hottest howling jag this side of Robert Plant.

Stroke Me-Stroke Me!

Billy never fails to provide that high-energy kind of rock 'n roll that you gets you going. This may be about 5 songs too long, but well worth the money for the remaining great, great songs.
