questioning the meaning of an outlaw???

I bought this album with absolutely no preconceived notions. I was pleasantly surprised. It's not only a good country album, it's a good rock album! Just a side note to the guy who said that Shooter isn't an outlaw... because Toby Keith could beat him up. You're right and even though he may not make it as big as Mr. Keith, Shooter seems like he will stay true to his roots and not worry about top 40 hits. Also, if you look at the king of all outlaws, Willie Nelson, he's not a big scarey guy. An outlaw is someone who will buck the system at all costs. Think before you type son!

This is "Solid Country Gold"

If you like the Dixie Chicks, or Faith Hill, of Tim McGraw, this album isn't for you. If you like GNR and Skynyrd mixed with Hank and Waylon, pull up a stool. I first heard shooter on the Waylon Tribute album, when he was with Stargunn. Their "Ive always been crazy" is KILLER! This album has everything from Hard Rockin' "Daddy's Farm" to Ballads like "Sweet Savannah" and just good ol' rockin' country like "4th of July"and "Solid Country Gold." If you are a country fan that hates country radio, check this out!

The Guy last reveiw does not know anything about music.

I think this is a great album a true Country recording. Whould you trust a guy that bought a Jim Buffet album. I think not. This is real songs and has so much soul that it will get singing along and dancing. Remember when country music was fun well that is what it is, FUN! The guitar playing is well done and the prodution is awsome. So take a ride and enjoy Shooter rocken you out or sit back and have a beer.

The only son of country legends Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter, Shooter Jennings literally spent his childhood on a tour bus. Born Waylon Albright Jennings, Shooter was playing drums by the time he was five years old and had already begun taking piano lessons, only to break them off and follow his own path to an understanding of the instrument. He discovered guitar at 14 and rock & roll (particularly Southern rock and the loose-limbed hard rock of Guns N' Roses) at 16. Soon he moved from Nashville...
