iTunes Review

The powerhouse soprano makes a triumphant return. After a sensational debut in 2012 that earned her comparisons to Aretha Franklin and Nina Simone, Emeli Sandé struggled with exhaustion, depression, and divorce. During a four-year hiatus from the spotlight, she wrote Long Live the Angels, a glorious comeback album of empowering ballads that go for the gut. Guests include Jay Electronica and Sandé’s Zambian father, who sings on “Tenderly” with the Serenje Choir.

Customer Reviews

This is the best song I've heard in months...

All the emotions

I'm pregnant. Nothing is wrong, but after listening to this Hurts... I CAN FEEL EVERYTHING. I think I've cried about 4 times for no reason other than I feel for her during the time that she wrote this song. It's so powerful. So monumental.

Amazing

If the lead single "Hurts" is indicative of LLtA, Emeli will be on replay for the months to come. She needs to become a household staple in the U.S. - we're losing out otherwise.
