iTunes Review

Usher has transcended the urban genre that spawned him, sculpting his own brand of “revolutionary pop.” Sprinkled amongst the electronic dance tracks that predominate Looking 4 Myself are cuts with surprisingly organic drums and retro references like the Pharrell collaboration “Twisted” and the introspective “Sons of My Father.” This Deluxe Version contains four extra tracks.

Step out of the box

If u really love music you have to know the meaning of growth... If u are a true usher fan why would you want him to do the same thing over and over good. Forget about the negative reviews this album is it!!!

I was really anticipating the release of this album and I've been telling all my friends how I couldn't wait for today. After listening to the album I'm a bit disappointed. I am a HUGE Usher fan and have been since I was like 8 years old. In my opinion this is my least favorite album to date. I don't care for about half of the songs on the album and I really am just not fond of the whole pop music sound he's been putting out lately. I prefer the true 90's R&B Usher used to make. Don't get me wrong, I do like some of the songs such as Climax, Lemme See, Lessons for the Lover, and Hot Thing. I just hope that on his next album he steers away from the pop, techno fad because I prefer Usher's older music.

People listen to this crap? Lol

He successfully rode mainstream songwriting and production trends across three decades and peaked artistically and commercially during the mid-2000s, when his landmark fourth album, Confessions, outshone all of its competitors.
