Singer Zene Smith fronts this Tulsa quintet with a raw-throated abandon that lends a desperate edge to “Beside the Dying Fire,” “Confessional of Lies,” and “Monolith.” Guitarists Tyler Simpson and Bryan Conway slash and smolder throughout, veering from the torrid riffage of “Re-Archetype” to the atmospheric jangle of “Lost” and the clean ascending lines of “Cut Me Off (You Can’t).” The piano-centered “Breathe” closes on a contemplative note.
