iTunes Review

There’s a reason Jake Smith’s shivery baritone has become a staple on TV shows like Sons of Anarchy and Californication. The folk troubadour behind The White Buffalo has a voice like worn leather, made rich and supple by life’s adventures. Love and the Death of Damnation, his fifth album, is a fine collection of prairie rock: whiskey-soaked stompers like “Dark Days” barreling fast and loose next to tender ballads, such as “Radio With No Sound.” Soundtrack your next saga to these frayed country tunes.

Always great.

My most favorite artist working today, maybe ever. His music is amazing. Very excited about the new album. Hopefully there will be many more to follow.
