Editors’ Notes

It’s easy to see (and hear) why Krystal Meyers stands poised at the brink of American crossover success. Make Some Noise is a marked advance over her previous releases, benefitting from sharp, synthesizer-dominated production and a more mature attitude. Meyers’ vocals display a tawny midrange, set off by smooth falsetto touches. She breezes along to thumping beats on “Feels So Right” and “Shine,” recreating the florid ambiance of ‘80s techno-pop. Her ballads are more inconsistent; while “In Your Hands” is solid, “S.O.S.” and “My Freedom” don’t quite hit the note of desperation they strive for. Lyrically, the tracks shift between expressions of faith (“Love It Away”), romantic musings (“Up to You”) and Youth Power anthems (the title track). Ambiguous tunes like “Beautiful Tonight” and “You’ll Never Know” venture into Jesus-is-my-Boyfriend territory with a minimum of offensiveness. For the most part, Meyers sounds enthused and engaged, more eager to party than to preach. Flirtatious yet unsullied, she infuses Makes Some Noise with enough fire to please believers and skeptics alike.

AMAZING!!! PROVES WE WERE BORN TO MAKE SOME NOISE!!!

I've been a Krystal fan since I can remember and I must say her new sound is amazing. I realize that there are people that said she was "conforming" and "selling-out", but she is still the same Krystal we know and love! Sure, she's changed, people changed, she's 20 now, not 16...Anyways, her vocals are so beautiful on this album and her range is awesome! (EX: In Your Hands). All these songs are awesome so just buy the whole CD if you're willing to dance to some of the most catchiest songs ever! haha. Well, for me, this is one of the best albums released in 2008!

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT

this album is soooo amazing! i had heard it already on the online party, and i couldnt wait till i could own it!!! i tried telling some of you b4, do you beleive me now? her songs are so christian (my freedom, sos, love it away, etc! ) the best ones are definately sos and feel so right! i know that this album is alot different from her old rock, (which i loved by the way ) that dosnt make it horrible! she is still christian, and proclaims that in this cd and her new sound isnt conforming to the world! alot of the world is christian rock too! just because she does more popish music dosnt make her a hippocrit. her words are that of hope and love, and that is what sets her apart, not the music style.

Very good

It does lack the rock egde from her previous albums but it's really not all that bad. She has a much more grown up sound. And these songs has amazing, very clear messages. I would recommend buying this. Even if you're all that crazy about her new style, these songs will grow on you. By the way, in case your wondering, yes Krystal's S.O.S. is way better than the Jonas Brothers'
