Great Soundtrack!

ZARDOZ

Cannot say enough about this soundtrack to a truly great film. The music speaks for itself. The contributions by Atticus Ross were nothing short of brilliant, in particular "Believe" and "The Bed Montage." As for the latter, Ross does his own production of the Beach Boys "'Til I Die" which was a high point of the film.

Love & Mercy

Tony Trasher

Where is “Wouldn’t It Be Nice”? One of the most moving moments in the film: Melinda caresses Brian as “WIBN” freezes on the word “married”--and then the viewer is transported to watch Brian, newly redeemed and resurrected by love, now perform “Love and Mercy” in top form. Not only a cinematic depiction of Brian’s triumph, the two songs blend at that point to create a fine, new, interesting *musical* moment. By comparison, the inclusion of “Don’t Worry, Baby” and even “Good Vibrations” on this soundtrack album seems pointless. Get it together for the CD release, Capitol Records.

Five!
