Superb Alternative to Caballe. Callas, Moffo, Sills & Sutherland

f you are not familiar with Scotto as a coloratura, this will be an eye opener. She is an equal of the other great Lucias. She sings the rapid runs, trills and the high notes with ease. The rest of the cast were old hand in this opera - Bergonzi, Bastianini & Vinco. Nino Sanzogno is almost as good as Serafin. I don't care who your personal choice of Lucia is, this recording should be in your collection.
