Album Review

Shai Linne delivers more of his cerebral and affable Christian rap on Lyrical Theology, Pt. 1: Theology, his fifth album. It features some of the most energizing beats to appear on a Linne album — alternately sparse, spacy, and dramatic without being overbearing. Once again, the MC receives assistance from several peers, including Joint Heirs, Timothy Brindle, and Leah Smith, I Six5's J.G., Willie Will, and Through Hymn. Still unafraid to stick his neck out, Linne confronts prosperity theology in "Fal$e Teacher$," compares its high-profile practitioners — who he mentions by name — to sharks, and cites a Bible passage in which the pursuance of wealth is said to be destructive.

Courageous Music

I don't knock what Christian rappers choose to do but here's an album that says "this is what I believe based on what I read in the Word of God. Take it or leave and by the way, it's banging so you gotta love it."

Warning: This album (none of shai's music actually) contains NO EAR TICKLING! Side effects may include, but not limited to, acknowledgement of sin leading to repentance and faith in Christ.

Nah, all playing aside, another ROCK SOLID album, Jesus being the Rock. I continue to be blessed and challenged by my man shai linne's music. Grace and peace!

Great lyrics!

I must have missed something, cause I've never heard shai linne truly slander someone. Not sure what that review was about. This guy is solid and honest and truth loving in a world of deceived and prideful men. Carry on shai linne!!
