Monumental Album

Can't say enough great things about Terry as both a musician and a person. I took guitar lessons from him for a few years and his talent is only matched by his awesome personality. All fans of heavy music and hard rock in general should buy this album!

Incredible

With this album, virtuoso guitarist Terry Syrek successfully manages to "shred" while retaining incredible musicality, a feat that often eludes many of the most well-known guitarists out there today. The fact that this album prominently features Terry's (excellent) vocals helps with this, as some strictly instrumental albums of this style tend to be nothing more than a boring, mind-numbing barrage of notes. That is not to say there is any lack of blinding, face-melting guitar solos on this CD, because Terry provides enough fretboard pyrotechnics to satisfy even the most voracious fan of "shred." And he does so with a level of musical sophistication and creative detail that is virtually unheard of in metal. But the stunning guitar work is merely icing on the cake. This release stands on its own solely with the quality of songwriting. Strong and memorable melodies, rhythmic work that is complex without being deliberate or forced, and a diverse tonal and chordal vocabulary - it's all there. Furthermore, the production is clear, heavy and tight, giving the album an almost bone-crushing weight while still allowing for nuance. As a bonus, the listener is also treated to the incredible drumming of Terry's long-time partner in crime, Greg Kalember.

Deep!!!

Amazing, start to finish. So much depth, such a dark vibe and what amazing performances by Terry and his drummer, wow!
