Album Review

Senza Titolo is Luca Carboni's 11th studio album and his first of original material in five years. Predictably for such a consistent singer/songwriter, there are no surprises here, but ten more introspective songs in the vein of Carboni's late compositions: reflections on relationships, family ties, and generational and social issues, set to similar pared-down arrangements and melodies. Senza Titolo includes the singles "Fare le Valigie" and "Cazzo Che Bello l'Amore," as well as the bonus track "Il Fiume," a song Carboni wrote for his first band when he was 14 years old.

Italian singer Luca Carboni was born in Bologna on October 6, 1962. He cultivated his love of music from a young age, studying piano from the age of six, and by 14 he was organizing rock groups among his musician friends. Playing gigs with these punk and new wave-influenced groups, Carboni became a fixture in Bologna's underground music scene up through the early '80s.
