Editors’ Notes

Having released a string of acclaimed mixtapes featuring guests like 2 Chainz and French Montana, L.A. rapper Kid Ink steps his game up another level with his major-label debut, My Own Lane. Featuring A-listers such as Chris Brown and Tyga and beats from DJ Mustard and Danja (among others), the tracks pair Kid Ink's nimble, adaptable flow with beats ranging from the anthemic pop-hop of "No Miracles" to the raw minimalism of "Murda," positioning this Kid as a versatile performer who can balance club-hopping flair with streetwise braggadocio. "Tattoo of My Name" nods to Drake, while the lascivious single "Iz U Down" is destined to blow up its fair share of trunks.

Day 1

I've been listening to Kid Ink since day one. I can't believe how far he has come and how good he has turned out to be. I love his music and I am so happy for him and his success. Every day I listen to him at least once just to help me get through my day. Kid Ink is the best. Can't wait for the world to hear him.
