One of the crucial elements of this amazing movie...

I have long suggested that Mission Impossible is one of the finest action movies ever made, and one of the crucial components is this soundtrack. Not only does it capture the nostalgia of the original series, but follows the pacing of the mind games and storyline PERFECTLY. Truly a brilliant marriage of film score to movie.

One of Elfman's Best

A well-done score by Elfman. As someone else pointed out, this score shows that he can apply himself to other genres besides oddball, Burton-style films and still succeed. Not only does the score work well for the film, but it's also a lot of fun to listen to. This music creates a feeling of suspense that isn't the generic noise of most spy-thrillers. Looking For Job, Betrayal, Uh-Oh!, Train Time, Sleeping Beauty, Red Handed and Big Trouble are the best. Don't brush this off just because it's a spy film - it's a good Elfman score and worth the money.
