Customer Reviews

One of the greatest soundtracks ever made.

For those of you who know the movie, you know it is one of the greatest achievments ever put on film. The soundtrack is no less. To all the newer age people, yes the soundtrack might sound a bit old fashioned in some parts but you have to remember that this was originally made in 1962. This soundtrack has some of the greatest themes EVER made and is still remembered as one of the greatest scores in film history. Maurice Jarre is a master of the modern score, mixing cultural goodness with powerful themes and creating a work of art out of brilliance and skill. Out of all the scores and unforgettable themes, out of all the composers and the music they composed, Maurice Jarre and his musical masterpiece 'Lawrence of Arabia' is remembered above all.

Amazing Cinematic Classic, new recording.

It should be noted that this is NOT the original soundtrack, but a digital remaster performed by a different orchestra, featuring previously unreleased material in addition to the original soundtrack selections. However, it follows the Maurice Jarre score flawlessly and none of the punch of the original cinematic score is lost. The sheer beauty and evocative nature of this powerful soundtrack makes it a must-have for fans of classical music and soundtracks, and a great start for those new to classic film music.

Great movie, great soundtrack

If you liked the movie, you will like the soundtrack. The two best songs on the album are Overture and horse stampede/Ali rescues Lawrence.
