Another Great Aesop Album

It’s crazy that after 20+ years of rapping he’s still this technically proficient. What I love about Aesop is he’s always pushing hip hop forward and it’s no different with this album. This is easily one of his most abstract albums yet because of the production from Tobacco which is fantastic. It’s very synth heavy and full of weird noises and bass. It sounds great and compliments Aesop very well. Aesop is on the top of his game on this album. His flows, rhymes and lyrics are so dense and detailed. His storytelling is top notch as well. This guy is a wordsmith at the highest level. This album won’t be for everyone though. So if you’re into abstract hip hop with great lyrics and rhymes please check it out you won’t be disappointed.

Classic Aesop

Aes does it again! I have to admit, I was a bit critical of TOBACCO’s production at first, but after listening to songs like Tuesday a few times I see the genius! The retro beats really go well with Aesop’s flow on this album, and they are REALLY catchy! As usual, the lyricism is off the chain! Always great to have another Aesop CD to listen to! Thanks Malibu Ken!

Good album

I get why some might be turned away, because of how the beats sound. But people need to realize Aesop Rock gets really creative with his beats. He has a great creative mindset. As usually his lyrics are out of this world. This album could take some people to get use to it, but I like it.
