Finally realizing some of her talent

I have always regarded Joss Stone as an immense talent. Throughout her career, I think she has struggled to find the material and band to bring out her ability. Her albums relied on formula, covers, and excessively technical and cold over-production. The performances suffered from sameness, as in they seldom allowed Joss to change up the volume, tempo, strength and sensitivity. We rarely saw her vocal or emotional range. Her performances are often stuck on all out, or really slow. We see more range here. Still, the over-production substitutes technological sheen for passion, but she's at least moving in the right direction. Whatever she records next, they should try an 8-track analog system, or even better, one mic hanging over a band playing live.

Love this project

This project has to be my favorite joss stone projects, the lyrical writings that are done on here to me has to be some of joss’s best work. I find myself listening to “spring”on repeat the most right after “mama earth”
