Plant Gets Back to Rockin'

Not perfect, but admirable. This effort shows Plant finally moving away from his experimental leanings and finding, well, some good stuff. Still inconsistent, this effort shows courage. "Hurting Kind" is his lead-off effort which is a nice pop-rock jaunt. Other tracks demonstrate his evolution away from experimentation, albeit less solid: "Tye Dye on the Highway" is an amazing and wonderfully boistrous tribute to Woodstock; "Nirvana" is an awesome effort showcasing Plant's vocals. "Anniversary" is a vocal gem. A spotty effort yet a clear departure fron the experimental phase of the last two albums, this one holds hope for Zep enthusiasts. Perhaps Plant is back as true rocker?

Great album

Plant does a great job. I'm a true Zepplin fan and enjoyed this album. This was released back when I was in high school. There were many days this was on during the puff - puff pass.

Tie Dye on the highway - is da bomb

"Tie Dye on the highway" just blew me away. I have been listening this one for over a decade and still love it.

But the group that started with such force also ended in flames after 12 years, as Bonham's death from alcohol poisoning in 1980 split the band after nine albums....
