This album is amazing beginning to end. Produced by Kevin Barnes from of Montreal, this is music for anyone who's already a fan of Pillar Point or of Montreal, David Bowie or LCD Soundsystem. One of the best electronic albums I've heard in some time. Definitely worth a listen if you're into indie/dance music.

About Pillar Point

Pillar Point is the synth pop solo project of Seattle-based musician/songwriter Scott Reitherman. Previously founder and leader of the indie pop band Throw Me the Statue, he released two albums (2007's Moonbeams and 2009's Creaturesque) and an EP (2009's Purpleface) with the group before announcing in 2013 that he was shifting his attention to Pillar Point. The project's danceably wistful new wave revivalism was picked up by Polyvinyl, which released its eponymous debut LP in 2014. The follow-up, 2016's Marble Mouth, was produced by Of Montreal's Kevin Barnes and featured guests including drummers Cameron Gardner (Washed Out, Gringo Star) and Philip Mayer (Kishi Bashi, David Wax Museum) for an invigorated rhythm section. ~ Marcy Donelson
