Theres a better Sousa Collection

There is just something that weems wrong to me about Sousa played by some random band I only want to hear him from the United States Marine Band. They are the best band I've ever heard and it is the Band that Sousa himself founded. They are often called Sousa's Own United States Marine Band. For Sousa by the best band in the world try Sousa's Greatest Hits by the United States Marine Band. If you want a complete collection of Sousa try Sousa Original, Sousa Original II, Sousa 3, and Sousa 4. No matter which one you go with you'll be happier with these albums then you will with the Royal Artillery Band. Go with Sousa band.

Great Collection!

I really enjoy Sousa, no matter who plays his music. As a member of a town band who is doing a number of his lesser known pieces this summer I appreciate this collection for it's completeness. The Royal Artillery Band does a great job keeping the music from becoming heavy and ponderous as some bands tend to play Sousa,

Sousa Fan

John Phillip Sousa changed the fase of music. He is still the best and the greatest and the most talented of all American composers. His music is GREAT NO MATTER WHO PLAYS IT! as long as they play it the way the master intended. The above would take away the great experience of playing Sousa music by anyone who does not play in a US Marine Band. Well lighten up dodo. Music and especially John Phillip Sousas' music should be played, listened to and enjoyed by everyone and anyone who cares to as long as their is respect in the rendition. I suppose you dislike the Army, Navy and Air Force. Such a stupid statement. Do you play? Agast.

Keith Brion occupies a most unique niche in music: he is a reincarnation (of sorts) of John Philip Sousa. Brion has combined his already considerable musical prowess with his knowledge, devotion, and resemblance to (with the help of some accoutrements) the John Philip Sousa of the 1920s. In this persona, Brion leads his New Sousa Band in an uncanny re-creation of a typical Sousa band concert of the era, with meticulous attention to the programming, interpretation, and even Sousa's own mannerisms....
