The Best Guitar Album

From playing frontman in The Cretones to working with Jackson Browne to this solo album is awesome .,, I Love this album. Very relaxing and helps to open the mind. Thanks to Wes Hawkins Who introduced me to this album -->> Check his site and album out which mark goldenberg help produce @ Weshawkins.net

A Masterful Work

Mark Goldenberg's guitar work here is stunning: Equal parts Joe Pass, Pat Metheny, Larry Carlton and Christopher Parkening.... and yet, a style, a "touch" and an elegance all his own. Aside from his session work with a number of singer/songwriters I follow, I first encountered Goldenberg's guitar work at the America & Friends concert from the Ventura Theatre in California. In that venue he breathed new life into classic songs like America's "Ventura Highway," Stephen Bishop's "On and On," and Andrew Gold's "Lonely Boy." Here, he offers 10 instrumental cuts that are soothing and reflective but offer a stylistic intrigue and a freshness that I find highly appealing. This recording will be in a regular iPod and iTunes playlist rotation for months to come. A masterful work.

Quixotic

I'd heard this album a few years ago, when it was brand new. I recently bumped into Mark Goldenberg, and that sent me back to listening to this crazy-good album. The tunes are enormously tuneful, the guitar tones are warm throughout, and Mark's playing is at once exceedingly precise and very human. Rumor has it, he's working on a new album now. I can't wait to hear it.
