The "Queen of Gospel" Still Reigns Supreme

Sis. Albertina Walker and The Caravans continue to solidify their legacy as the pacesetters and trendsetters of gospel music in the African-American context. Most modern forms of gospel cease to mention the author of the same - Jesus. This album leaves no room for guessing; it is about their love for Jesus the Christ and, subsequently, His love for us. This is not "old folk gospel music." This album is for anyone who appreciates a traditional gospel group using their gift of ministry to minister to a modern age by singing about a timeless Savior. As a young adult, I offer a hearty congratulations to the "baddest" four women in gospel music - "Queen" Albertina, Ms. Inez, Evangelist D. Norwood, and "The Songbird", Sis. D. Washington. Dr. Jakes

Paved The Way-The Caravans

The girls are back. The may be a little old now, but so is the world. Their voices are a little lower, but they still got it. We miss Cassietta, Josephine, Johneron, James Herndon and Rev. James Cleveland, but we know they're smiling down upon this reunion. Old soldiers never die, they just sing on forever and a day. Micheal
