Subtle instrumentation supporting sublime chant! Some of these were already known to me (Sub Tuum Praesidium, Tota Pulchra Es, Ave Regina Caeolorum), but several were completely new, or new in the sense of "I think maybe I somehow heard this somewhere before and it sure is lovely." My new favorites are "Ave Maris Stella" (the "solemn" chant version) and "Virgam Florem," which is a hymn in chant (so many chants are really antiphons, not full-fledged hymns). This last one is spectacular: a hymn about Mary's pregnancy!
I think the Irish "Mary the Dawn" is the only one of these that isn't an ancient Latin antiphon or hymn, but you hav eto have some English, right?
