iTunes Review

There are times during St. Lucia’s big, bright synth-pop debut that you might think that the ‘80s never ended. Channeling the old guard (Phil Collins, Van Halen, the Thompson Twins, and Flock of Seagulls) alongside young contemporaries (fun., M83 and Passion Pit), Matter is the kind of album that manages to tap into the past while remaining firmly in the present—from the sleek, Prince-like funk of “Home” to the breast-beating “Help Me Run Away,” co-written with fun.’s Jack Antonoff.

Sophmore Slump..HARDLY!

St. Lucia's second LP offering is even better than their first. Much more upbeat with the same 80's influence without sounding like a knock off. Best tracks include "Physical", "Dancing on Glass" and "Help me Run Away". But the entire album has a cohesive sound that gets even better with repeat playings. Bravo!

lame retro

Late 80's era pop music throwaway. Was bad then. Is worse now.

Can. Not. Wait.

Such laid back music. Puts me in the best mood. One of my favorite bands ever.
