Absolutely amazing!!!!

Saw this show in Cleveland last fall. A fantastic program. Been a life long Madonna fan, and this is perhaps my favorite tour. She is amazing, and the MDNA concert is top-notch!

Disappointed by sound quality

Pros:
The complete concert is here! That is a big plus. Every song, every minute, unedited. A+ For that.

Cons:
The crowd's cheers sound a little too loud for my taste. Sometimes it drowns out the songs. I was there that night, in Miami, when this was taped, and honestly the audience was NOT this loud or excited the whole time. I feel like they over did it with the fake cheers on this album. I would love to have a re-release of this with the actual crowd sounds and not canned cheers. Disappointed.

Not Bad, but Not Really Live!

This album is not a bad listening experience overall, but if you are truly looking to hear an actual live performance with real live singing, then this album is certainly not it. It's quite obvious that a very large portion of the vocals heard on this album were not actually recorded live on stage, but were actually pre-recorded in a studio. Releasing a "live album" that was partially recorded in a studio has actually been done by many artists over the years, but they would at least try to make it sound like it could have been recorded live on stage. On this album, some of the vocals are so heavily edited and autotuned, that it couldn't be any more obvious that the vocals were done in a studio and weren't recorded live. Furthermore, on some of the songs the background vocals are overly prominent and are even singing the lead vocals along with Madonna, which I must assume that was done to cover up the fact that Madonna doesn't have much of a voice. At least, not any more. Aside from the lack of live vocals and the lack of impressive vocals, the album is interesting and fun to listen to. It has alot of good songs, both old and new, and it's interesting to hear some different interpretations of some of the Madonna classics.

After stars reach a certain point, it's easy to forget what they became famous for and concentrate solely on their personas. Madonna is such a star. She rocketed to stardom so quickly in 1984 that it obscured most of her musical virtues. Appreciating her music became even more difficult as the decade wore on, as discussing her lifestyle became more common. However, one of Madonna's greatest achievements is how she has manipulated the media and the public with...
